Boker Plus Leviathan Flipper G10 01BO751
Search By Category
The expressive designs by Jason B. Stout are always an excellent choice when it comes to rugged utility knives. The Boker Plus Leviathan is somewhat more compact than Stout's Lateralus but offers no less versatility and practical value. The Leviathan is equipped at the same high level with a stainless steel frame lock and a D2 steel blade on ball bearings. The front scale is made from sturdy G10 to reduce the weight. Includes solid milled pocket clip (tip-up/right carry).
About the Designer: Jason B. Stout
Jason Stout from Tennessee is a skilled toolmaker and machinist. The full-time knifemaker designs pocket knives, fixed blades and handy multi-tools. All work is carried out himself by hand. His claim is not the creation of knives which everyone likes, but the realization of its own style.
D2 Tool Steel
With a chromium content of 12%, D2 – a tool steel – can certainly be classified as a stainless steel. Since its chromium content is right on the threshold, however, a little more care for the D2 wouldn't go amiss. As an upper-tier conventional steel, D2 offers great edge retention and stability, though sharpening it takes a little effort.
