The Sebenza, Chris Reeve Knives makes one of the finest premium folding knives on the planet, and after more than three decades since its introduction, the Sebenza 31 has been continually refined through the years to maintain its position as arguably the best pocket knife ever.
Sebenza means "work" in Zulu, and these knives are intended to do just that. Built with handcrafted care at a production level, the Sebenza 31 has earned a worldwide reputation for rock-solid performance and a 'bank vault' feel. It is the knife that introduced the world to the frame lock over three decades ago, formally named the Reeve Integral Lock, and they still do it better than anyone. The "31" model uses a ceramic ball interface between the lockbar and the blade for stability and longevity of the mechanism, which is even more long-lasting than the steel interfaces that the competition use.
The Sebenza 31 is currently offered with a CPM-MagnaCut hollow-ground blade at 63-64HRC to retain a sharp edge with easy maintenance.
Computer Generated Graphic (CGG) Models
The introduction of CNC programmed designs gave Chris Reeve the ability to bring exactly consistent designs to the table. These designs are repeatable and may be ordered by name. As the computer age is more and more upon us, the embracing of what the computer can do for us is vital as an artist. The colors of the thumb lugs and back spacers are matched to the respective designs and will not be varied, nor can they accept requests for changes in color or the addition of inlays.
