The Mandate is a retractable replaceable blade utility knife that includes a bottle opener and Hex driver built into the handle. A slide button actuates the flat utility cutting edge and CIVIVI has included three extra blades in the package; two additional 9Cr18MoV stainless and one Damascus. This really shows that they think highly of this design that it can be a high-class carry option and we totally agree. Apart from Todd Rexford's RUT, it's probably the nicest utility knife multi-functional tool that we carry and we think it's an excellent value. The handle is properly sized for ergonomic use while the retractable slide button lock is quite fun to manipulate. You can put the blade out and utilize the full 2.12" cutting edge or two other lengths if you just need the tip to slice open a package. The Mandate is a very cool tool and one you will not want to be without once you grow to appreciate everything that it has to offer.
