The Great White flipper from ArtisanCutlery was designed by Michal Gavac of Gavko Knives and it features his traditional shark nomenclature. It has an undeniably tactical blade shape but the slender, ergonomic handle makes it more of an EDC/utility knife in our books. The recurve tanto blade features an ambidextrous thumb slot for middle finger flicking and a generous finger choil for choking upon. And then there's the action. Riding on ceramic bearings, it's as smooth as glass and locks up nice and snugly with a replaceable lockbar insert so it is supremely perfect right out of the box. If you want an EDC knife with a tactical look and affinity for CQC should the need arise - or want a Gavko Knife in your collection without the custom price tag - the Great White is a wonderful choice.
